7 Fun Things To Do In Eisenhower State Park:
1. Hike
Ike’s Hike and Bike Trail- (on All Trails named Elm Point Trail) 6.4 miles round trip, EASY to MODERATE depending on the section.
Highly recommend! This trail covers most of the scenic areas of the park. There are spots on the trail with great view points of the lake. One path leads down to a small dock/ pier. Huge rocks are down there too. There’s also Lovers Leap which is cool, but not as cool as I thought it would be.
2. Ride an ATV
Yes! They allow ATVs here. This is on my list for next time when I find a friend that has one, lol.
- Practice Area Trail -.5 mile EASY
- Blackland Ramble – .6 mile MODERATE
- Big Woods Canyon – .7 mile MODERATE to CHALLENGING
- Timber Rattler Run – .7 mile MODERATE to CHALLENGING
3. Check out the Beach
The beach area is awesome! There is a small hike to get down to it, but the whole area is cool to explore. I recommend wearing water shoes, because there are a lot of sharp rocks on the edge of the lake.
There is sand as well for little ones to make sandcastles.
And of course, swimming is fun in the heat of summer.
4. Find the Cave
There is a small cave down by the beach area to explore!! Kids will love it!
5. Camp
Eisenhower State Park has some of the best camping in North Texas! Make sure to pick a campsite with an incredible view of the water! Do your research before booking one.
Campsites range from $12 -23 per night depending on water and electricity options. Max of 8 people per site.
Screened Shelters are available from $30 per night. Max of 8 people per site.
6. Water Activities
Lake Texoma is meant for being on the water! Enough said.
Rent pontoon boats, paddle boards, kayaks and canoes at the marina.

There’s a spot to hike down to a pier/ dock to fish or explore.
