When the summer temps start to skyrocket in Dallas, it’s time to find somewhere to cool off! These are the most awesome water parks in DFW that deserve a spot on your summer bucket list.
Hawaiian Falls in The Colony
Hawaiian Falls is located at 4400 Paige Rd in The Colony.
This water park just completed a huge renovation and is better than ever! We love the family friendly atmosphere and the overall cleanness of the park.
They have an epic wave pool complete with a huge movie screen and awesome sound system. During the day, they play music and then on special Friday nights they host Dive In Movies. Perfect way to watch a movie in the summer!
There are multiple water features that will appeal to all age levels like the wave pool, lazy river, huge kids water play area and multiple water slides. The water slides range from awesome and thrilling to beginner and kid friendly.

NRH20
NRH20 is located at 9001 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills.
This park is home to the world’s largest uphill water coaster! It’s seriously one of the coolest water slides at over 1,161 feet long and 81 feet tall. This is a must do! Get in line early because the line gets long throughout the day.
This water park offers a crazy amount of fun for the little ones in your family. Not only do they have one of the biggest water play grounds with five levels of awesome fun, they also have a swimming hole just for little ones. It’s one of the most family friendly water parks in DFW.
There’s plenty to keep everyone busy for hours with 9 water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool and a 5300 sq foot swimming pool.
Need a break from the water? They have a sand volleyball court too! Bonus, they have a charging station for your phone.

Epic Waters
Epic Waters is located at 2970 Epic Place in Grand Prairie.
This water park boosts being the largest indoor water park in North Texas! Which is awesome, because the fun lasts all year! During the summer, you can go outside and enjoy their wave pool.
This water park is full of things to do for the whole family. They’ve got 6 fun water slides, a lazy river, a swimming hole and a FlowRider! The FlowRider attendant was super patient while showing me how to ride this for the first time.

Hurricane Harbor
Hurricane Harbor is located at 1800 E. Lamar Blvd. in Arlington.
This water park is the largest water park in North Texas! It’s the sister park to Six Flags so expect awesome thrilling water slides! It’s filled with a multitude of water features that will keep you busy all day.
Check out the Banzai Pipeline which is new this year. Other must do water slides are The Black Hole, Der Stuka, Raging Rapids and the Typhoon Twister. With 18 plus slides, there’s something for everyone.
They’ve also got a million gallon wave pool, a lazy river, a million gallon lounge pool and chill zone! For the younger ones, there’s a themed pirate ship playground and treehouse.

The Cove at The Lakefront
The Cove at the Lakefront is located at 417 Lakefront Drive in Little Elm.
One of the newest water parks in DFW is The Cove! It’s an indoor water park with a retractable roof, which makes it perfect all year long!
This water park has the coolest water slide I’ve ever ridden! While sliding you see different lights and projections. There are different themes and mine had a shark coming out like it was going to get me. Seriously awesome!
Even though it’s one of the smaller parks, there’s still enough fun for the whole family. There are three slides, a cliff jump, rock climbing, lazy river, and a double FlowRider! Plus a huge play are for the young kids and a spray ground.

Jack Carter Pool
Jack Carter Pool is located at 2601 Pleasant Valley Drive in Plano.
This is another awesome community water park! It’s on the smaller side too, but offers a lot!
Like the FlowRider which is a surf simulator. The instructors were great with teaching the younger kids how to do it and stay on. They also have three water slides, water volleyball, lazy river, wet deck, and a water play area for the little ones.
One of my favorite features is the deep pool with platform diving and a climbing wall.

BONUS: The Texas Pool
The Texas Pool is located at 901 Springbrook Drive in Plano.
The Texas pool is not a water park, but it’s still awesome! I mean the pool is shaped like Texas!!! It’s a must do for any Texan.
This summer they are celebrating their 60th anniversary!! It’s been placed on the National Register of Historic Places, so definitely a cool place to check out this summer. No pun intended, lol.
They’ve got a diving board, water volleyball, two kid and toddler slides and a wading area for the little ones. You are able to bring your own food and they offer two BBQ grills to use at the pool.
Did I mention it is mermaid friendly? Yes they have mermaid meet ups!
