It’s January 1st of a new decade you guys!!! I love the start of a new year! I bust out my new planners, calendars and it’s like literally wiping the old year away.
One priority in my life is FUN! Yes, FUN! I realized a few years ago that even if I enjoy something, if it doesn’t get put on the calendar, it’ll never happen. So I came up with monthly bucket lists! I hope this January Bucket List inspires you to have fun!
January Bucket List
1. Go Skiing or Snowboarding-
Living in the Dallas area does not make it easy to accomplish this. If you happen to be in the same situation and can’t make it to the mountains, go on a winter hike.
2. Make a New Recipe-
Since you’ll be indoors more, you might as well cook up something new for yourself or the fam. It’s a great time to try a new soup or Chili. Invite the neighbors or friends over to enjoy!
3. Try a New Workout
January bring about resolutions and usually a commitment to exercise. I challenge you to try a new workout video or class- Zumba, Yoga, Kickboxing, Krav Maga, etc. I always need a variety of workouts, so I don’t get bored.
4. Board Games
If you’re stuck indoors, it’s a great time for family bonding! And what better way to bond than with board games! Or host a board game marathon and invite friends! I’ve got a few new games that I can’t wait to try out!
5. Eat a Bagel
Yes, it seems random for me to tell you to eat a bagel. However, January 15th is National Bagel Day! I’m planning on going to a new Bagel shop and try one I wouldn’t normally eat.
6. See a Hockey Game
We live close to a minor league hockey team and a Pro Hockey team- Go STARS!! Can you believe I still haven’t been to a Pro game? I plan on changing that this winter! If neither of these are an option, you can always try a local school team.
7. Spa Day
Being cooped up inside can turn into a blessing if it’s in a spa! Treat yourself if the budget allows. If not, you can DIY it at home and have just as much fun!
8. Go Bowling
I love bowling and I hardly ever take the time to go. Grab your family or friends and make a night of it!
9. Eat Pie
Yes, you guessed it! It’s National Pie Day on January 23rd! I’ve already got my sights set on a bakery that I drive by often and never stop.
10. Go to an Arcade
These are so much fun!! I love playing Skee Ball and Pinball! Oh and those air hockey tables!! I might be a little competitive playing one of those games. Just a little… Anyways grab your family, friends or make it a date night!! Heck you can even have fun going solo.
Hopefully I’ve given you enough ideas for your January Bucket List. Remember to always make it your own. Add things, delete things, it’s your list. Just make fun a priority!
