Spring is almost here, and I’m so over winter and ready for warmer temps. March is one of those months where the weather is pretty iffy, but the warm days are amazing! I’ve created a March Bucket List to get us outside to enjoy the good days!

I’d love for you to join me in these adventures! Most of these are outdoor activities, so feel free to substitute if the weather does not cooperate this month. These are all family activities, so you can make this a family challenge for some family bonding time. Or just for you for quality alone time. Here are some of the things I want to accomplish this month.

March Bucket List

March Bucket List

  1. Search for Wildflowers: I live in Texas, so I’m waiting for the bluebonnets to bloom! Hopefully they’ll cooperate and appear in the next couple of weeks. If not, there’s a tulip field not to far away. None of these are super strict, just get out there!
  2. St. Patrick’s Day Event: Most cities hold different events for St. Patrick’s Day, so hopefully you can find something. Dallas is having a parade, a three day Irish festival, and a couple fun runs.
  3. Spring Break Adventure: This does not necessarily mean you need to take a week long vacation. Although that would be awesome! Take a day trip or go somewhere new. Whatever works for your life, just do something.
  4. Visit a State Park: You can visit one you’ve never been to before or revisit your favorite. You can even check out a National Park. Enjoy for the day or at least a few hours.
  5. Breakfast in a New Place: Go to a restaurant you’ve never been to before for breakfast. If you’ve happen to eat at every restaurant in your city, then try a different item on the menu. Or make a new breakfast recipe at home. March 12th is National Pancake Day!
  6. Celebrate the First Day of Spring: On March 20th, do something to celebrate spring’s arrival. Plant flowers, take a long walk, have a picnic or go to a park. Spring Clean if that’s something you enjoy.
  7. Go Hiking: Hiking is so relaxing to me, not to mention great exercise! Try a new trail. Breathe in the fresh air. Enjoy the scenery. You can even combine this with your state park visit.
  8. Go to a Drive In Movie: Watch a new movie on the big screen outside. If you don’t have a drive in nearby, go to a regular theater and watch something new.
  9. Watch the Sunset: Take time out of your evening to watch the sunset in a scenic area or your own backyard. Just be purposeful about it.
  10. Go Roller Skating: Hit up the nearest skating rink and go for a spin. If you own a pair of roller blades, get outside and roam around your neighborhood or park.
