This museum is made for movie and music lovers! Located in Seattle by the Space Needle, it houses some legendary pop culture artifacts.
One of the first things you see in the Museum of Pop Culture is the awesome guitar display.
Jimi Hendrix
Not a big Hendrix fan, so I didn’t browse long but it looked great for a small exhibit.
Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses
I was a teen in the 90’s, so Nirvana was one of my favorite bands. This exhibit had a ton of Nirvana memorabilia! They went through their complete history from first starting out to Kurt Cobain’s death.
Marvel
Another great detailed exhibit is the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes. The beginning has the very first comics all the way to the awesome movies in the Marvel Universe today. You can learn all about your favorite super heroes! Plus there are a ton of movie artifacts and memorabilia. And a few great photo ops.
Fantasy: World’s of Myth & Magic
Another fun exhibit with some of my favorite movies!
Wizard of Oz:
Harry Potter:
The Princess Bride:
Lord of the Rings:
Scared to Death: The Thrill of Horror Film
I don’t like horror movies at all, but this was fun to walk through.
The building itself is a work of art!
Overall, The Museum of Pop Culture is awesome and worth a stop in Seattle!
You can get here easily from the monorail. They also have a close parking garage if needed.
Depending on the exhibits you are interested in and how much reading you do, this museum can take any where from one hour to half a day.
There are nearby food trucks for a quick bite.
