Dallas may not be known for beautiful fall foliage, but there is plenty to do! Here’s everything to do and eat in Dallas for the Ultimate Dallas Fall Bucket List.
Ultimate Dallas Fall Bucket List
Things To Do:
Explore Dallas Farmers Market
This is a must do on a fall weekend in Dallas. They have beautiful pumpkin displays, awesome food vendors, fun events and locally made goods.
There are two big areas to visit. The Shed is a big air market where you can shop from regional vendors only on Saturday and Sunday. The Market contains a food hall and local shops open seven days a week.
For events and more information, check out their website HERE.
See the Pumpkins at Rubials Plants of Texas
Rubials has an awesome pumpkin display every year with cute photo opps. This is the place to buy pumpkins! It’s a great place to shop for plants all year long, but definitely check it out during the fall season.
There are a few locations now, but I think the coolest one is the flagship store by the Dallas Farmers Market.
Cheer On The Dallas Cowboys at a Game
Since it’s Dallas, we’re all about the Cowboys! Tickets to the Death Star aka AT&T Cowboy Stadium are not cheap. In fact, they run a few hundred for the cheapest seats. However, it’s an awesome stadium and it’s fun to do it at least once.
Or go to a local watch party at a fun bar or food venue like Legacy Hall in Plano.
Watch a Local Football Game
Texas is all about football, so even if you’re not interested in the Dallas Cowboys check out a local team. You can find a high school football game every Friday night throughout the metroplex.
Check out the Allen Eagles at Eagle Stadium one of the largest and nicest in Texas. The Frisco high schools teams take turns playing at Toyota Stadium and The Star.
High school not competitive enough for you? College games are even more fun! Tailgate at an SMU game in Dallas or a TCU game in Fort Worth.
Have Fun at the Texas State Fair
This is a must do event! The Texas State fair is one of my favorites on the Ultimate Dallas Fall Bucket List! It’s one of the biggest fairs in the nation, because you know everything is bigger in Texas!
There’s Big Tex who is a perfect photo opp at 55 feet tall, musical performances, parades, midway games and lots of rides. Plus all the fried food you can imagine!
This year the Texas State Fair runs from September 24th to October 17th. For ticket information, check out the website.
